Snowy Boots S OC I was in high school, out in the snow by my parents' house taking photographs. They live by a river that had accumulated icy crystals along the shoreline.

I was wearing rain boots with fuzzy socks inside, and took a wrong step, falling into the half- frozen river. The 10-minute-or-so walk back to house was marked by the sounds of my cold, wet sloshing and some amounts of nerve pain. I believe that's the coldest I've ever been.

I understand that kids can be very exhausting, but there are more factors to this story than just that. I was a good kid. Been told so all my life.

I think it's funny reading back that I chose the word "greet" because that is not a greeting I would ever use. I would also not ask someone to bring me the laundry while I lay in bed on my back watching tv for the last 5 years. Sometimes it's frustrating.

Less-Day5167 I think the fact that she didn't even ask you if you were ok, even after seeing you drenched in icy water, says it all.

bartbartholomew The impressive part is her not yelling at you for doing what she said to do.

StormBeyond Time Sheesh, let the kid get their coat off and warmed up a bit before demanding they do chores! Totally deserved that.

Cleaver-Tower612 Are there no mum's on this sub. All mum's do this. Kids have endless aches and pains and bruises. And always have a " but" to an instrucrion. 4-15 + Reply Share
